" Ventures " is the travel and events program of Peoples Savings Bank. Each month customers and friends of the bank are offered activities that include informational meetings, concerts, day bus trips, overnight tours, and extended trips. Past events have included a lesson on Iowa History, day trips to Pella and Decorah, Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center and a trip to Alaska. The goal of "Ventures" is to provide a wide variety of interesting and enriching experiences in all price ranges to the customers. "Ventures" coordinators are Joel and Sue Ebert, retired educators, who work part time in this capacity.

November 15th - Lorrie Line " Christmas Around the World"
Join us for a real "night on the town" as we attend the Lorrie Line "Christmas Around the World" Concert at the beautiful NIACC Auditorium in Mason City. Lorrie is a well known performer and her dazzling show features a 10 piece Pop Chamber Orchestra as well as gorgeous costumes and set. The show will highlight Christmas traditions and music from various cultures all over the world. We'll begin the evening with a buffet dinner and then move to our excellent seats at NIACC. Cost is $89 per person which includes meal, show tickets, transportation, and tips. What great beginning to your holiday events! We have limited seating so make your reservation today.
December 4-6, 2008- "O! What a Christmas"
A Christmas trip into Omaha starts with a visit to the Old Market area for lunch and shopping, after a rest, we will go out for the evening where the German American Society of Omaha and "Christmas in Germany" (dinner & entertainment). After a hot breakfast, we will head to a church downtown Omaha and "Christmas in the Ukraine". Other places of interest will be: Hollywood Candy, Boys Town, Renaissance Mansion, Union Station and Lauritzen Gardens. We will also see "A Christmas Carol" by the Omaha Community Playhouse. December 14th- Jim McDonough "Holiday Grande 2008
Jim McDonough is Iowa's pianist! He hails from Monticello and today presents concerts all over the U.S. He left music teaching jobs to become a traffic controller and left to be a professional pianist. Today his piano music is well known all over the country and we are privilefed to have prime seating for his "Holiday Grande 2008" concert at the beautiful Gallagher- Bluedorn Perfoming Arts Center in Cedar Falls. Joining McDonough on stage is his ver talented orchestra and singers. Don't miss this spectacular holdiay afternoon event which is followed by a full dinner. January 25th, 2009- Cinderella (Performed by Russian National Ballet)
You'll see the favorite story of Cinderella performed as never before! Filled with gorgeous costumes and sets, endearing characters and many magical moments, this production promises an enchanting experience for everyone. From the Prince and Cinderella's first ballroom duet, to the dramatic strike of the clock at midnight, to the transformation of a shy young woman into a beautiful princess, this engagement of "Cinderella" promises a truly great ballet performance of a story that a familiar favorite.
