Our 2020 fun Ventures include these trips:

BEAUTIFUL: THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL – CEDAR FALLS – WED., APRIL 1

This Broadway hit is coming to Gallagher-Bluedorn in Cedar Falls, and we have great seats! We’ll begin with a delicious supper at the new Whiskey Road restaurant in downtown Cedar Falls before this fabulous show. You are familiar with the music: it includes One Fine Day, You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling, The Locomotion, On Broadway, Will You Love Me Tomorrow, You’ve Got a Friday, You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman, and many, many others. It’s so easy to be dropped at the theatre door and be picked up there again. Get out of the house and enjoy this wonderful show with us! We have a limited number of tickets and once they’re gone, we cannot get more—so don’t wait to sign up. Our delicious supper, the fabulous show, luxury motor coach, taxes and tips are included in your fee of $150. Receive a $5 discount if you are a Peoples Savings Bank customer.

OLD ORDER AMISH DAY TRIP – HAZELTON AREA – FRIDAY, MAY 1

This popular trip is back! We’ll visit a country store, greenhouse, bakery, grocery store, and furniture store plus enjoy a delicious Amish meal. Perhaps we’ll see teams of horses working in the fields or children with their bonnets and straw hats at recess in the country school. Be ready to savor the delicious pies, angel food cakes, cinnamon rolls, jams, pickles, etc. that are available for sale in various locations. Don’t miss out on the opportunity for this fun and inexpensive day trip. Cost for your transportation, lunch, and tips is only $90; receive a $5 discount if you are a Peoples Savings Bank customer.

LEAVING IOWA – DES MOINES PLAYHOUSE – SUNDAY, JUNE 14

Come on a fun day of vacation with us! This play is for everyone who’s ever been on a family vacation. Are we there yet? I’m thirsty! We’ll have a yummy homemade sack lunch on our way, probably just like beginning many of your past vacations with your family. We’ll need to leave about noon, we’ll join a middle-aged writer trekking across Iowa and dragging his entire family with him on a road trip to find a proper resting place for his father’s ashes. Get in on the fun! Your vacation lunch (no need to tip your waitress), play, and luxury motor coach are all included for $110; receive a $5 discount if you are a Peoples Savings Bank customer.

MUSIC MAN –CHANHASSEN DINNER THEATRE – WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 5

Could there be anything more Iowa? Still standing toe-to-toe and eye-to-eye, and eating all you want of the food you bring to the potluck. We’ll enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of Chanhassen Theatre, our delicious lunch, and the Tony & Grammy Award-winning favorite musical comedy! A fast-talking traveling salesman (who doesn’t know the territory!) cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying musical instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band that he vows to organize—in spite of his not knowing a trombone from a treble clef. The behind-the-scenes tour, delicious lunch, luxury motor coach, taxes, and tips are all included in your fee of $165; receive a $5 discount if you are a Peoples Savings Bank customer.

CHRISTMAS TIME IN BRANSON – TUESDAY-FRIDAY, DECEMBER 1- 4

What fun we’re going to have! Seven heart-warming shows that include the amazing “Noah” at the wonderful Sight and Sound Theatre, with a behind-the-scenes tour in which we should see some of the sets for their 2021 production of “Jesus.” We can do a little browsing at the Landing shopping mall on the shores of Lake Taneycomo, where we’ll dine at the new Paula Deen restaurant, and we’ll also be exploring during a morning on the campus of the very unique College of the Ozarks. In addition to “Noah,” our seven Christmas shows also include SIX (six brothers’ voices “playing” the best Christmas tunes acapella), the Haygoods Christmas, A Sanders Family Christmas, the Brett Family Christmas Show, The Johnson Strings at Christmas, and the Hughes Brothers Christmas. We’ll stay at our favorite Lodge of the Ozarks and stop at “our” Pecan Farm on the way home. Three hot breakfasts and three sit-down dinners are included in this very joyous Christmas trip. You may pick up an itinerary at a Peoples Savings Bank location. Don’t miss out; seating is limited and is quickly filling up. This trip is yours for $825 per person double occupancy; receive a $50 discount if you are a Peoples Savings Bank customer. A deposit of $100 per person is required when you sign up, with final payment due no later than October 15.
