ALL AROUND DES MOINES – Wednesday, July 10. We’ll visit the Iowa Gold Star Military Museum that honors the service of all Iowa veterans, from statehood to the present, with its stories of our Iowans in wars and homeland defense. Tour where our governors live at Terrace Hill, an 18,000 square-foot example of Second Empire architecture. Our “Inner Italian” will enjoy our delicious lunch at Noah’s Ark, where Italian home-style food has been a staple since the 1940s. There’s more history in the Historic Jordan House, which was built in Italianate Gothic design in the 1850s and was a station on the Underground Railroad here in Iowa. Did you attend a one-room school? We’ll have a nostalgic look at what it was like at one that was used until at least 1941. All of this, with our motor coach, admissions, lunch, taxes and tips, for $120; receive a $5 discount if you are a Peoples Savings Bank customer.

Please add your name to our waiting list if you are interested.

EUREKA SPRINGS & BRANSON – August 5-8. Experience the renowned outdoor drama “The Great Passion Play” in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Admission to The Holy Land Tour and a buffet supper is included. In Branson we’ll see five outstanding performances. Your fee of $795 per person double occupancy covers it; receive a $50 per person discount if you are a Peoples Savings Bank customer.

DAVENPORT, OH MY! — Tuesday, September 17. We’ll start at the Chocolate Manor and sample some of the delicious chocolates made there. Our Captain’s Narrated Lunch Cruise on the Mississippi features a hot lunch buffet and some of the historic sights of the Quad City area. Did you know that Davenport is/was one of the most German cities in the Midwest? Many German immigrants came up the Mississippi to an historic river hotel that became the German Heritage Museum, which we’ll tour with a docent. (Note: Their gift shop contains many very interesting and pretty German items. “Life is too short not to be German.”) We’ll end our visit by viewing many historic area homes from our bus with our step-on guide. Bus, lunch cruise, tours, and all admissions for $155; receive a $5 discount if you are a Peoples Savings Bank customer.

FALL IN LOVE WITH MANCHESTER – Thursday, October 3. We’re having the genuine treat of a unique vintage style show, a different stylish collection modeled by local women. If you were amazed at the show we saw earlier, then you know what a joy we anticipate! And yes, a special bakery treat is part of this fun show. What’s FALL without a pumpkin farm and a hayride? We’ll also receive a FALL floral demonstration, a delicious lunch, and time for browsing in the downtown shops. Be sure to join us for this fun day to kick off your FALL! Bus, show, demo, lunch, tours, hayride are all included for $140; receive a $5 discount if you are a Peoples Savings Bank customer.
