Travel Program

April 5: Plan to learn about our Discover the Colorado Rockies trip featuring national parks and historic trains. We’ll be at the Wellsburg Public Library with our Collette representative at 2:00 p.m. Bring friends and neighbors!

We will fly from Des Moines to Denver on September 11 to begin our 9-day tour filled with highlights: Denver, Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado National Monument, Grand Junction, Canyonlands National Park, Dead Horse Point State Park, Arches National Park, Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, Mesa Verde National Park (UNESCO), Royal Gorge Route Railroad, and Garden of the Gods before flying back to Des Moines on September 19. We will stay in very nice hotels in Denver, Grand Junction, Durango, and Colorado Springs. Nine days, with 11 meals included (7 breakfasts, 4 dinners). $3,049 per person double.

BRANSON! November 30-December 3, 2021: You won’t want to miss this! “Jesus” will be the new production at the wonderful Sight & Sound Theater and we’ll fill the days with other top shows, stay at the Lodge of the Ozarks, and have great meals including at Paula Deen’s new restaurant on the Branson Landing. Music Man! Chanhassen Dinner Theatre, December 15, 2021: We have asked for a behind-the-scenes tour before our delicious luncheon and this Iowa favorite Tony/Grammy-award winning musical comedy. Save the Date.


Other day trips are in process as well. We are waiting for group travel to be able to resume. We want to go again with you! Take care of yourself, and get ready to hit the road with us!


Ventures” is the travel and events program of Peoples Savings Bank. Each month customers and friends of the bank are offered activities that include informational meetings, concerts, day bus trips, overnight tours, and extended trips. Past events have included a lesson on Iowa History, day trips to Pella and Decorah, Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center and a trip to Alaska. The goal of “Ventures” is to provide a wide variety of interesting and enriching experiences in all price ranges to customers.
