Travel Program

Ventures” is the travel and events program of Peoples Savings Bank. Each month customers and friends of the bank are offered activities that include informational meetings, concerts, day bus trips, overnight tours, and extended trips. Past events have included a lesson on Iowa History, day trips to Pella and Decorah, Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center and a trip to Alaska. The goal of “Ventures” is to provide a wide variety of interesting and enriching experiences in all price ranges to customers. Current offerings and informational details are available on the web site. August 28, Ireland Trip Preview

Grab a friend or two and come get the scoop on our 2019 TRIP TO IRELAND!!!!  We will meet in the Wellsburg Public Library at 2:00PM with a presentation on our 10-day Shadows of Ireland Trip, scheduled for March 23-April 1, 2019.

August 23 & 24, Dubuque

Two days of fun with something for everyone; we’ll stay overnight at the Julian Dubuque hotel.  We’ll tour the last remaining WW2 LST(Landing Ship, Tank), the Abbey, and Eagle Point Park.  Food stops include touring the Verena Street Coffee company and Betty Jane Candies, lunch at an urban farmstead, and supper at Breitbach’s in scenic Balltown.  We’ll have a glass of wine while we catch the lovable Church Basement Ladies in their evening performance of “A Mighty Fortress Is Our Basement” as they run a food booth at the county fair, teach one of their own how to drive, and help their very nervous pastor.  Coffee, snacks, meals, lodging, tours, play, luxury motor coach, taxes and tips are all included in the fee of $325; receive a $25 discount for being a PSB customer.  We will stop at Heartland Acres in Independence on the way home.

September 9-16, 2018, California Coast

Good-bye; we’ll be off exploring California’s coast from San Francisco to San Diego.

October 9, Camp Courageous & Return to Manchester

Our morning begins with coffee, pastries, and a very interesting tour/train ride to Camp Courageous of Iowa, the year-round nonprofit camp and recreational facility in Monticello that provides camp activities for thousand of people, ages 1 to 105, who have disabilities.  We’ll have a delicious lunch in Manchester before touring Kendrick Foresty and Cabinets, then enjoying a corn maze and pumpkin farm to check out the arts & crafts, and have a hay ride.  What a fun fall day!  Morning coffee, our train ride and tours, lunch, hay ride, luxury motor coach, taxes and tips, are all included in your fee of $130.  Receive a $10 discount for being a PSB customer.

November 7, Mystery Trip

You know you’ll have a great time.  This one appeals to both men and women.  We will visit some very special places.  Coffee, snacks, and fantastic lunch, tours, luxury motor coach, taxes, and tips are all included in your fee of $125; receive a $10 discount for being a PSB customer.

December 6-8, 2018, Christmas Around the World

Our festive Christmas Around the World Tour in Omaha has filled and its many venues can accommodate no more people, but you may add your name to our waiting list.
